David Bolinger... F L Weber pianist Listen to... Before, during and after the Great De- pression, his father, grandfather, aunts and uncles gathered for weekly family feasting and jam sessions. David's life was surrounded by sounds of acoustic and electric guitars, the upright bass and the piano. This is undoubtedly the reason for the masterly finger-picking style in which he became so accomplished. One of his heroes was Chet Atkins. Chet heard David play at a Chicago guitar expo and stated he was humbled by his skills. Bolinger’s playing was legendary in his native Northern Indiana, though elsewhere he never received the accolades he deserved.
